Everton are prepared to offer Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey a lucrative contract in a bid to prise him away from North London.
Ramsey, 27, has eight months remaining on his current deal with the Gunners and he’s primed to leave the club at the end of his contract with several clubs interested in his services.
According to the report from football.london, Everton are the latest club to show a strong interest in the 27-year-old and that sporting director Marcel Brands will offer him a lucrative five-year contract worth around £150,000 per week.
Aaron Ramsey has also been linked with moves to clubs like Manchester United, AC Milan, Juventus and Liverpool since Arsenal withdrew their contract offer to him.
The club and his representatives were in contract talks for several months before the Gunners’ contract offer was withdrawn.
Aaron Ramsey became an Arsenal player in 2008 after the North London giants paid Welsh side Cardiff City £4.8m for his services.
They won the race to sign him ahead of rivals Manchester United mainly due to then manager Arsene Wenger’s ability to nurture talents.
He has been an important player for Arsenal in his 10-year spell at the club.
His numerous contributions include netting the winning goal in the FA Cup triumphs against Hull City and Chelsea in 2014 and 2017 respectively.
