Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has expressed fears over the possibility of their Sunday opponent causing an upset against them

He made this claim ahead of the Blues’ trip to Burnley in the Premier League on Sunday as he urged his teammates to do all it takes to record a victory.

Cahill noted that lower-ranked teams are known for causing upsets to bigger teams especially when they are not taken seriously adding that such games against them are usually difficult.

The Blues defender, therefore, stated that his Stamford Bridge side cannot lay claim to the title if they fail to deliver victories against smaller teams as he urged for a good preparation mentally.

However, manager Maurizio Sarri is not ready to make claims of the Premier League title as he thinks the focus should be on working on his team and ensuring they get too wins per game.

Most importantly, Sarri wants his newly introduced style to be fully adopted by the players before any thought of the Premier League title.

However, Chelsea are behind Liverpool and Manchester City with two points gap, giving them the chance to hope for the trophy.

Sarri joined the Stamford Bridge in the summer from Italian side Napoli and he looks forward to making his name at the club.
