Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has unwittingly hinted that Ruben Loftus Cheek will not get a playing chance in his team for now by pleading with the star player to be a little patient as he is helpless at the moment.
This is coming after the player scored a hat-trick in Chelsea’s 3-1 win over BATE on Thursday night.
The manager has been questioned for relegating the important player to the bench and has been handed only three appearances this season.
In his explanation, Sarri noted that he can only start with 11 players but he has got more than 28 to pick from which makes it more difficult for him.
He added that the 22-year-old plays in a role that has more than three players in such a role, adding that it will be a difficult decision for him to start two offensive defenders in a game.
He hinted that the player might have his chances in the future but the present gives no hope of his consistent appearance at the Stamford Bridge.
Ruben Loftus Cheek has also demanded a starting role from the coach with the insinuation that he has been able to prove he can play.
Pundits have asked the English man to quit the West London side for a team where he will be handed a starting role, stressing the need for consistent play for him to progress well.
