As Liverpool star player Fabinho marks his birthday, Manager Jurgen Klopp feels the best birthday gift he can offer the player is his first Champions League start at the Anfield.

Liverpool will be playing the Red Stars Belgrade on Wednesday night in what happens to be a doubleheader game.

Fabinho had joined the Anfield side from French outlet Monaco with a fee of £4-0 million but he has not seen a lot of appearances. That could be changing now as he marks his birthday.

Klopp had hinted that the reason why the former Monaco man has not seen lots of games is because of his slowness in adapting to the style at the club but stated that there could be an improvement.

However, he stated that the player who turned 25 on Tuesday will have a birthday gift of a Champions League start on Wednesday.

The German manager, who noted that Fabinho was a confident and hard guy while with his former side, said he has not shown that character yet and that needs to change.

He stated that he probably might be affected by his quiet and reserved personality but he hopes that can change on the pitch and his former person at Monaco can be brought back to the Anfield.
