Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez is reportedly eyeing a move away from the club ahead of the upcoming transfer window in the New Year.
According to a specific report from popular English news portal Daily Mail, the Chilean international star has already sounded out his agent about getting him a move away from Old Trafford.
The 29-year-old has been a shadow of himself at Manchester United in comparison to when he was at North London club Arsenal.
The former Barcelona and Udinese player signed for the Red Devils from Arsenal during the January transfer window in a swap deal involving Armenian international playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan who moved in the other direction.
He signed a four-year contract worth around £500,000 on a weekly basis but has failed to live up to his expensive price tag.
Alexis Sanchez scored just three goals in 18 appearances for Manchester United last season and also started the season with a six-game scoreless run before netting as a substitute in the 3-2 comeback victory over Newcastle United in the Red Devils’ last league game.
He has been dropped from the Manchester United XI and the squad on several occasions this season as a result of his questionable form.
Alexis’ poor form has reportedly been linked to his split from girlfriend Mayte Rodriguez.
