Atlanta United President Darren Eales has all but confirmed that midfielder Miguel Almiron will secure a transfer to the Premier League when the transfer window opens in the New Year.
According to him, the 24-year-old will leave the club for England during the European winter market.
Atlanta United is an Atlanta-based club that features in the MLS (Major League Soccer).
Almiron had previously been linked with a move to Arsenal and according to Fox Deportes USA, the Gunners have agreed a £11m (€13m) transfer fee for him ahead of a move in the January transfer window.
The Paraguayan international plays behind the striker at Atlanta United and he has been in sensational form for the MLS outfit this season, scoring 12 goals and providing 13 assists in 32 appearances.
His performances attracted Arsenal officials and that has led to the reported bid from the Gunners.
He could be a very good replacement for Arsenal contract rebel Aaron Ramsey.
The Welsh international midfielder is on his way out of the club after Arsenal withdrew their contract offer despite the fact that the 27-year-old has less than a year left on his current contract.
He could move during the January transfer window or wait till he becomes a free agent next summer.
