Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told his players that they have so much room for improvement in the advent of challenging for the title this season.
The players have shown how hungry they are and it seems like fighting for the top four spot is no longer in their diary as they are even more poised to win the league.
Despite winning four in four, the manager is not showing any sign of weakness has he openly told them they would need to improve.
In an interview with Liverpool FC’s website. Klopp said:
“The players are not at their top level yet. That is because we are in the early part of the season.”
He also added that everybody should know they have a lot of work to do still, but if they don’t then he had told them.
Klopp extended his speech by telling them that
“When you win four times it sounds really crazy to say this, but it is still part of the pre-season for a very long time after the summer.”
From mid-September, the Reds will play every three days which comprises of Champions League and domestic league cups.
Klopp’s men will also face Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley next weekend. Last season wasn’t a good place for them when they got defeated by the shaky defense of the backlines.
They look to show the difference in the quality as they meet similar team they played against.
