Kepa Arrizabalaga was Born on October 1994 in Ondarroa, Biscay, Basque Country. He appeared for the under-18 Spanish team before he was called up to represent the under-19 team. He was stared as an undisputed starter when he joined his teammate in lifting the cup.

He made his appearance even known after he saved two penalties against France in the semi-Final.

The suave shot stopper, however, missed U-20 world cup due to injury and was replaced by Ruben Yanez.

He was later called up to represent the U-21 Athletic team where he started elating his career to earn his position at a higher level. His impressive displays earned him a spot in 2012 when he made his debut in the main Athletic squad.

However, Kepa Arizabalaga continued on the bench before he was used as a substitute that same year against Malaga.

Fast forward to 2015 when he moved to Real Valladolid in a season-long loan deal. After impressing Valladolid, he made his position count by making great saves that saw him return to his main club. He was always calm with the ball and how he calculates to place himself at the right position is part of his qualities.

He became one of Real Madrid target in January 2018 but Athletic Club had to look for a way to improve his contract. Yes, they successfully did chase Madrid away but then came the blues in search of goalkeeper when they came for his signature. The two clubs later agreed to terms and ended up signing him for 72 million.

He has been calm so far, irrespective of the fact that the majority complained that he wasn’t worth it. Yes, he has not been able to pull great saves but the way he finds his way in the right position makes him influential.
