Finally, Liverpool To Sign Arsenal Target On A Free Transfer

Liverpool are on track to sign Germany international attacking and holding midfielder Max Meyer as a free agent after the young player chose not to renew his contract with Schalke.

The 23-year-old will be out of contract by the end of the season and he is reportedly set to leave the Bundesliga side in the summer as he’s heavily linked with a move to Premier League with Liverpool tipped as his next destination.

Just as Meyer, Liverpool midfielder Emre Can will be out of contract by the end of the current campaign and he is being tipped to make a free move to Juventus, who have promised him a more regular first-team action next season.

As part of the Reds search for the German’s replacement, Meyer was approached by the club’s delegation and they seemed to have agreed to the player’s terms and conditions, including his weekly wages.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are also in the race for his signature but the North London club appear to have been outrun by Jurgen Klopp’s side. Liverpool earlier showed their desire to capture the versatile youngster in previous transfer windows but all their efforts weren’t enough to snatch him away from Schalke 04.

Klopp will be hoping to work with his countryman so as to help him develop into a better player, who would be more ruthless in creating goalscoring chances for his teammates to score.
