Manchester United Fans are hoping their team could mount a late pressure on their neighbours Manchester City for the League trophy till the end of the season but their hopes were dashed after they were surprisingly beaten by West Brom, last night at Old Trafford.

Jay Rodriguez put the ball past United’s goalie David De Gea in the second half, to give the Baggies a much-needed boost in their mission to avoid being relegated to the Championship next season.

Having won three matches in a row, United fans are beginning to believe the team could stand a slim chance of snatching the league trophy from Manchester City who appeared to be out of form since after losing two straight games for the first time in the season.

During yesterday’s match against West Brom, Spain international Juan Mata who was given a rare start by José Mourinho failed to justify his inclusion in the Portuguese starting lineup as he performed woefully throughout the encounter.

Reacting to the Spaniard’s display against the Baggies, United Faithfuls took to Social media to slam him and to call on the board to terminate his contract with the club.

Here are some best tweets from United faithfuls via their respective Twitter accounts.

A Red Devils fan namely Connor via his tweet, remains confused why United still retain the ageing player despite having 10 youngsters who can play better than the Spaniard.

@DBerbaTouch wants United to sell Maja in the summer as he won’t be happy to see him at Old Trafford next season.

As for Jay, Mata doesn’t possess the qualities that makes a player more successful at Old Trafford.

Jake Hamer, on his part, believes Juan Mata is an over-rated player who needs to be sold out of Old Trafford before the start of the 2018-19 season.
