Arsenal head of recruitment Sven Mislintant is reportedly set to help Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger in his search for a long-lasting solution to his defensive crisis as he is set to lure Dortmund’s defender Julian Weigl to the Emirates stadium ahead next season.

Sven is set to explore his relationship with the Bundesliga giants so as to convince the emerging star to join the North London club in the summer but that could be a huge task to accomplish has Dortmund seem no ready to lose another player to Arsenal, who already snatched Aubameyang during the winter transfer window.

The Gunners are tipped to be ready to cough-out £40million if they must sign the player ahead of other interested clubs including Dortmund’s Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich.

Wenger is also being linked with some high-profile signings during the summer transaction period such as Leicester City’s Nigerian international Wilfred Ndidi, Roman Zobnin who plays for Spartak Moscow and Thiago Maia of Lille but the German international remains the manager’s prime target as he hopes to bolster his team’s defensive capacities before the commencement of the 2018-19 season.

Julian Weigl, 22, has been rock-solid at the back for Borussia Dortmund this season and he would be hoping he gets a place in Joachim Leow’s World Cup squad.
