Manchester United are on another mission to improve their youth set-up in the summer as they are planning a summer move for Ryan Sessegnon who currently plays for Fulham in the Championship competition according to reports.

Sessegnon has enjoyed huge goalscoring ratio this season and he has caught the eyes of many Premier League giants including United, Chelsea and Tottenham. The youngster has found the back of the net on 14 occasions this season.

The 17-year-old started his career as a defender who operates from the left-back position but he later converts to a more advanced position where he now operates as an attacking midfielder, winger or as a centre-forward.

Sessegnon was part of England Under-19 squad who won the last European Championship Edition during last summer. His exploits for the Championship side so far this season has earned him his first call-up to England’s Under-21 squad.

According to the Sun Newspaper, José Mourinho is eyeing a possible move for the youngster as he hopes to help the club improve their academy ahead of next season. The Red Devils are reportedly going to pay £40m if they must get the youngster ahead of Tottenham and Chelsea who could make a shock move for the player.

The Old Trafford outfit have been spying on the youngster via their scouts and they have been present among the stands in Fulham’s last three Championship matches and Mourinho has received a great report on his performances.

Sessegnon has been considered as the perfect replacement for England’s left-back Luke Shaw who could be moving out of Old Trafford after being criticized by José Mourinho for his lacklustre performance against Brighton on Saturday.
