According to reports, Chelsea are about to complete a deal to secure the signature of Hamburg teenager Jann-Fiete Arp.

As per TeamTalk, the defending English Premier League champions are prepared to sign the 17-year-old German starlet.

The same publication reveals that the starlet had the opportunity to move to the Bridge last summer transfer window but the young attacker decided to remain at Hamburg.

The stock of the player has risen after a return of two goals from three appearances in the German Bundesliga to attract interest from a number of top European clubs.

The Blues have moved to seal a deal for the teenage sensation following Manchester City’s serious interest in the Germany U-19 international.

Premier league giant, Arsenal have also been strongly linked with the teenager as interest in the Hamburg attacker peaks going into the upcoming transfer window.

As reported by TeamTalk, the League title holders are keen to sign the 17-year-old forward ahead of their Premier League title rivals.

The Blues have won two Premier League titles in the last three years after finishing seven points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League title race last season.

The west London club signed six players last summer to strengthen their team ahead of a return to the UEFA Champions League.
