Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has taken a swipe at Premier League rivals Chelsea and their transfer splurge in the current transfer window just some days before the new season starts.
Klopp spoke about Chelsea in his latest interview with the BBC as he revealed that spending won’t guarantee success automatically.
The Liverpool boss was recently named the PFA Manager of the Year after he led the Reds to their first league title in the Premier League era. It was the first league title for Liverpool in three decades.

Liverpool finished 33 points ahead of Chelsea at the end of the last Premier League season and the squad that masterminded that league title win has remained the same, while the Blues have gone on a spending spree.
The Reds have signed just one player and that’s in defence after the addition of Greek left-back Kostantinos Tsimikas. In stark contrast, Chelsea have made seven signings following the capture of Kai Havertz from German outfit Bayer Leverkusen earlier this month in a club-record deal that could rise to £90m.
Other signings made by the Blues this summer include Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr, Timo Werner, Xavier Mbuyemba, Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell.
The total Chelsea spending is over the £200m mark this summer
