Man United have succeeded in convincing English goalkeeper Dean Henderson to commit his future at the Old Trafford after initially threatening to leave.
Dean Henderson spent last season on a loan deal with Sheffield United where he impressed but he had to return as the loan term was already expired. Upon his return, he reportedly demanded the promise of a first-team role ahead of other goalkeepers to sign a new deal.

However, the Red Devils have been able to make him sign a new deal without such a promise which means he will be a Man United player until June 2025 to compete with David De Gea and Sergio Romero in the team.
Dean Henderson has stated that the faith he has enjoyed from manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer means a lot to him and he will be giving everything back to the club again.
Howbeit, it was not clearly stated what the future holds for Dean Henderson at the Old Trafford. It is unknown if he will be remaining at the club for a bench role or will be made to return for another loan spell.
While he is expected to compete with David De Gea and Sergio Romero, there are no chances that Dean Henderson will be handed a first-team role in major competitions as long as the Spanish shot-stopper is still in town.
