Former Premier League player Paul Merson has advised Manchester United to pursue a move for one of the best playmakers in the English top flight rather than sign Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes.
In his column for the Daily Star, the former Arsenal and Aston Villa midfielder said that Manchester United would be better served if they make a move for Jack Grealish instead of Bruno Fernandes.
Aston Villa skipper Grealish has been one of the best playmakers in the English top flight this term.

Jack Grealish has scored seven goals and provided five assists in the league this term.
He scored his seventh goal of the season in the Premier League as he rescued a point for his Aston Villa team at the home of Brighton and Hove Albion.
Belgian international Leandro Trossard had given Brighton a first-half lead before Grealish leveled matters for the former European champions in the last 15 minutes as they both settled for a draw.
Manchester United have chased down a transfer for Bruno Fernandes for the majority of this transfer market but it looks like they will miss out on the player as Sporting Lisbon are refusing to budge on their £63m valuation.
