Valverde is in the line of fire after Spanish champions Barcelona made a disappointing start to the new Spanish La Liga season and his reign could end if the Catalans lose their home game to Villarreal.
Ernesto Valverde is in his third season at Barcelona.
He won the Spanish La Liga title in each of his first two seasons as the Barcelona manager but successive Champions League meltdowns against Italian Serie A giants AS Roma and Liverpool have tainted his managerial reign at the Nou Camp.
