England and Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has admitted that their performance in their shocking 1-2 lost to Ostersunds was below par.

The rejuvenated holding midfielder who started the game told reporters after the match that they deserve to be beaten by the Swedish side who clearly executed their game plans.

According to the midfielder, Arsenal’s performance in the game wasn’t good enough to stop Ostersunds from picking the maximum three points at the Emirates stadium.

The 28-year-old confessed that they were influenced by the  3-0 victory which they recorded against the same opponent in the first leg of the clash. He believes his teammates underrated Ostersunds and they were made to pay for that as they conceded two goals in quick succession.

He further speaks on their next fixture against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final match on Saturday.

Wilshere believes they can get a surprise result just as Ostersunds in last night’s clash.

He believes Manchester City are not unbeatable just as Wigan has proven to everyone that the Citizens are just normal team who win some matches; draw some games and also lost some matches.

Despite losing to Ostersunds, the Gunners are through to the last-16 round in the Europa League and they might face Lazio, Athletico Madrid or Lyon in the next round of the competition.
