Why Alan Shearer will have no pity for Chelsea

Chelsea were humiliated on Sunday afternoon as they were defeated 6-0 by English Premier League defending champions Man City.

Match of the Day 2 pundit Alan Shearer might not have any pity on the West London outfit as he analysed the reason why the team flopped which he relates to a self-made problem.

According to him, former Napoli man Jorginho is at the centre of Chelsea’s problem because of his inability to play well in his role. Yet he was imposed in the defensive midfield position by the Italian manager Maurizio Sarri who is obviously not ready to make corrections.

Alan Shearer is of the opinion that the major problem with Chelsea started with the decision of the Italy boss to move French powerhouse N’Golo Kante away from the deep role to a more advanced role from the right.

The pundit is of the opinion that Jorginho who is being favoured in the team has lacked the ability to meet up with the responsibility that would have been carried out by N’Golo Kante as he loses the ball cheaply and also lacking in his marking.

Alan Shearer noted that Jorginho was lacking in getting his team move which is a major reason why they failed to stand upright against City.
