Three-time European champions Manchester United have been linked with a move for Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen in recent weeks as doubts continue to linger over his long-term future with his North London club.
Christian Eriksen has less than 18 months on his current Tottenham Hotspur contract which expires at the end of next season and recent reports claim that the North London giants are already preparing for life without the Danish international midfielder if he leaves the club.
Media Referee claim that Spurs are already plotting a potential transfer for highly rated Bournemouth midfielder David Brooks who has been in superb form for his South Coast club since the start of this season in his debut campaign in the English top flight.
David Brooks sealed an £11m transfer from English Championship club Sheffield United last summer and he has made 10 goal contributions in just 21 games.
Tottenham Hotspur may need to spend as much as £50m to prise him away from the Cherries.
David Brooks is currently out of action with the ankle injury that he sustained during the thumping 4-0 win over Chelsea at the end of January and he’s not expected back in action until later this month.
Manchester United are also in the running for a Welshman.
