West Ham United defender Issa Diop has debunked transfer reports linking him with a move to fellow Premier League side Manchester United ahead of the mid-season transfer window.
Diop talked about Manchester United in an interview with Foot Mercato via Metro.
The 21-year-old defender also spoke about the high praise he received recently from Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho.
Issa Diop disclosed that he was flattered by the praise showered on him by the Portuguese tactician before pointing out that West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini still remains his coach.
He was praised by Mourinho during the 3-1 win over Manchester United in their Premier League clash at the Olympic Stadium.
The young French defender has been in impressive form since he signed for the Hammers from French Ligue 1 side Toulouse.
He was the captain at the French club before making a big money move to the Premier League this summer.
West Ham United paid a whooping sum of £22m to secure his signing from Toulouse.
He has formed a potent centre back partnership with fellow new signing Fabian Balbuena.
West Ham United would be hoping that they can hang on to Issa Diop despite the interest from big clubs like Manchester United.
