Catalan journalist Miguel Rico has hinted that Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno will not be leaving the club despite strong interest coming from Barcelona.
Barcelona had last week emerged as suitors for the Spanish player as they are yet to replace Lucas Digne who joined Everton in the Summer.
With the player having an idea of Spanish football and the language, the La Liga giants have identified him as a good fit for the club’s wish.
However, the journalist who is familiar with the situation at Barcelona stated that the player will not be released by the club in the winter transfer window as they are yet to secure a replacement for him.
Klopp is making frantic efforts to secure silverware this season with his good form in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.
The German has charged his side to brace up for the challenge, stressing that he will not settle for a second position this season, hence he wants to win something at the Anfield. That must happen with the use of his best players.
He has therefore urged that the players be considered for break and not be bombarded with lots of fixtures, citing the ongoing UEFA Nations league as unnecessary and disadvantaged to club sides.
