The 2016 mate cop animated film Zootopia was successful and a record-breaker. After its successful running in theatres worldwide, the fans did not keep themselves from expecting its sequel.
However, Disney’s animated movie Zootopia broke all the records in the 2016 theatre and became one of the blockbusters in 2016 as it earned an amount of $1 billion around the world.
The movie is about the friendship between a red fox and a rabbit cop. Their unusual friendship is situated in a city where anthropomorphic mammals reside, Zootopia.
In addition, the fans from its exact release date in 2016 have given positive responses to its extraordinary animation, screenplay, voice acting, and much more things about the movie.
All the fans that have watched the movie are desperately waiting for Zootopia 2, but it has been almost six years that all the updates have been kept under the wraps.

When is Zootopia 2 coming out?
Unfortunately, there is no official announcement of the release of Zootopia 2. Although, in 2016, the director Byron Howard and Rich Moore did hint that the sequel would come out. Howard and Moore told Slashfilm that they are planning for two more films and take it to Zootopia 3.
Zootopia 2 will happen as its first part has won the hearts of millions of fans, and Disney will never intend to lose this massive amount of fans.
So it will happen, do not worry, be patient.
Furthermore, as we have mentioned above, there is no clue about the coming of Zootopia 2, but we do have information about a sequel to Zootopia.
Moreover, the series will serve as a possible sequel to the film and will be released in 2022 only on Disney+.
In addition to this, some reports claimed that the Zootopia 2 would be released in November 2021, but it did not happen. As we still don’t have Zootopia 2.
But to be very honest with the fans, Disney has to make a sequel. Although it has been cancelled, Zootopia 2 deserves a sequel.
What is expected to happen in Zootopia 2?
If you have watched Zootopia, you will have no doubts in your mind regarding the story’s future. Because the movie ends with a touching scene, and all the conflicts are resolved. Nothing remains unclear, and there is no cliffhanger.
So the upcoming plot will be a new one and will follow an entirely new direction.
Moreover, we do not have any official announcement, but Bateman and Goodwin are curious about bringing back bunny and fox on a new adventure. In an interview recently, they revealed: “The new sequel will see Nick convincing Judy that the world is worth fighting for.”
So it means that Nick and Judy will be the central character in the sequel, and like in the first Zootopia, the people will fall in love with them.
Moreover, their characters would be taken to the level of excellence in the upcoming sequel.

Who will be in the cast of Zootopia 2?
Again, I would mention here that we do not have any announcement about the movie and its cast members. But we do have some hints about who will return for Zootopia 2.
However, two cast members confirmed for the upcoming sequel are Mark Smith, who voiced Officer McHorn’s character and Tommy Lister.
Tommy Lister hinted back in 2019 that “I can tell you for sure I am doing another Zootopia movie for Disney”. So it means that his return is confirmed. However, other voices which are expected to come are:

Is there any Trailer for Zootopia 2?

When will It come out on Netflix?
The first movie is available to watch on Disney+ and is followed by Moana, Ralph Breaks the internet, Frozen 2, Raya, and the last Dragon, Encanto, and Strange World (scheduled to release on 23 Nov 2022).
While the upcoming movie will follow the same schedule and be released on the same platform, Disney+.
Moreover, it is still uncertain whether it will be released both on Netflix and Disney+, or only to stream on Disney plus, as we do not know its release date yet.
