The second season of the American TV series, Bridgerton is coming. The show was previously renewed for the second season in Jan 2021, and fans are excited to see what will happen next.

The first season of the series was a massive hit among audiences, and with good reason. The show brings to life many famous characters from Quinn’s novels in an exciting way while also keeping viewers engaged thanks to its compelling storyline that will have you on your toes guessing what might come next.

The period drama Bridgerton is considered one of the most popular series based on Julia Quinn’s novels. After its triumphant season 1, the fans are desperately waiting for Season 2.

Bridgerton Season 2 Release Date

It’s been a long time since the series had been renewed in January this year, and filming started back up again in spring. While the production has finally wrapped up now, it was completed way back at the end of November. As for any official word on when season 2 will be released? No such luck just yet.

As the Executive Producer of the show, Chris Van Dusen tweeted on his tweeter account and said that,

“That’s a wrap on Season Two! So proud of this cast and crew who brought their A-games to work each and every day in this very challenging year. And these two in this photo with me right here. Words are not enough. Coming in in 2022.”

After many fans have been waiting for the season to come back, they finally get their wish. Season 2 of Bridgerton is likely to release sometime in 2022.

Who will be in the cast?

The upcoming season of Bridgerton will introduce the following characters: Phoebe Dynevor, Jonathan Bailey, and Simone Ashley. Meanwhile, Jean Page won’t be one of the main characters, given her conflict has been resolved in this past season.

Daphne will make a memorable appearance in season 2 as her brother’s love interest. She helps him out with his relationship, and it’s hilarious to watch.

Furthermore, Penelope explained in a statement,

“I think it’s safe to say that you do. And you know, those final moments of series 1 was definitely a peek into her life. I think in series 2 you kind of see how the sausage gets made and all that’s happening,”

“I felt very lucky when I got given the script to series two, like when you’re an actor in a show already… [and] they’ve just given [me] so much good stuff.”
