Even though hundreds of millions of Netflix users worldwide, many people still think they don’t have any good movies or TV shows to watch. But that’s not the case. Here is the Korean TV show you must consider watching.
Netflix is on a roll with their Korean content, and it looks like they may have just hit another one of those milestones. Squid Game is an international crime thriller that has been watched over million times worldwide.
It’s hard to believe that this could be Netflix’s most popular Korean export yet, but Squid Game might turn out the best of them all. In a dark and twisted world, where the only way to survive is by fighting for your life with everything you’ve got until there’s one left standing. They are allowed to win an absurd amount of money.
The Netflix show ‘Squid Game’ is taking over the world. Since its release on September 17, this dystopian thriller has become a number one must-see in 90 countries and the streaming platform’s most successful non-English language series with more than 100 million views.
Squid Game has been a significant hit with viewers because it combines the compelling plot of children’s games and competes over six days. 465 people are competing for one prize: £28 million ($38M).
For those who have already watched all nine episodes of season one, let’s talk about what is coming in the Squid Game Season 2.
Will Squid Game be Renewed for Season 2?
The hit TV show Squid Game has not yet been renewed for another season by Netflix. However, it doesn’t look like this will be an issue, as the buzz around the internet suggests that there will be a renewal soon enough. Netflix renews its biggest shows a few months after they air, so keep your eyes peeled.

The director of the most recent tv Series (Hwang Dong-hyunk) has announced that he doesn’t intend to make a second series for now. This is because the creative process was very exhausting so that it would seem like this is for now at least.
The writer and Director Hwang Dong-hyunk also stated that,
“It took me six months to write and rewrite the first two episodes. Then I consulted verbally with friends, and picked up clues for improvements through my own pitching and from their responses.”
Squid Game Season 2 Release Date
If the show has been renewed, we’re hoping for a second season to arrive as soon as late 2022. Unfortunately, the first season of Squid Game was announced in 2019, which means that production took two years to complete.
Back in 2008, Hwang Dong-hyuk first thought of the premise for his show. He’s had plenty of time to plan out a longer game beyond season one and has been working on it since then.
Squid Game Season 2 Cast
The number of returning characters in Squid Game is unknown. The possible returns are a small or even just one character left behind at some point during its travels through the survival game universe.

Of the 456 competitors in season 1, most are now dead. However, Lee Jung-Jae is still alive and could return for a lead role as Seong Gi-hun. A majority of season two’s cast will likely be made up of newbies! I can’t wait until they debut.
Another central character fans want to make a return appearance is Gong Yoo, the Korean actor and model best known for his work on Train To Busan.
Squid Game Season 2 Plot
The pressure was build as only Gi-hun and Cho Sang-woo remained in the competition. Finally, with one final hand gesture, he offers up his victory for the sake of Sang-woo’s life.
The Front Man then tells Gi-hun that the Squid Game is a form of entertainment for people who can afford it, like horse racing. Finally, we see him being dropped off in an unknown location and going home to see his mother.
Gi-hun is a devoted and loyal friend. He’s always there for his friends when they need someone the most, even if he isn’t really into gaming or anything like that himself.
After the death of the game creator, Gi-hun found out that not only did this game still exist with recruits. He swore to stop it just as much in those last moments where he had no choice. A prequel season to Squid Game could show how the mess began.
