The Redmi Note series is Xiaomi’ is one of the most and best-selling smartphone lineups in India created by technology giant Xiaomi. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is the most powerful of all phones in its lineup, but it’s been very slow at receiving updates throughout.

After a long wait, Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 12.5 to its older Redmi Note 8 Pro and the newer Redmi Note 9 Pro smartphones. The new MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition will offer faster and smoother performance over MIUI 11 as well as an improved UI with enhancements to CPU usage and power consumption for longer battery life.

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 8 Pro and the Redmi Note 9 Pro in India received an update to their respective builds, bumping them up from V12.5.3.0.RGGINXM and V12.5.1.0.RJWINXM respectively.

The latest update includes improved security, faster and more durable UI features, gesture response improvements. New additions include the Notes app that comes with a lighter load to help improve system speed as well as added stability for this feature-packed application.

The new build also brings increased Android Security Patch level from July 2020 to June 2021 making it one of the most secure builds ever!

The MIUI 12.5 has been released in India Note 8 Pro and Note 9 Pro, but it will be available for all users gradually over a period of weeks so it might take some time to reach everyone. But at the end of the day, every user should be able to experience this new software soon!
