The latest beta version of Minecraft has arrived, and Experimental Snapshot 5 introduces some notable tweaks to make mountains appear more visually distinct. It also makes swamps look a bit more realistic.
Players will now be able to see mountains with more distinct peaks, as this has become a regular occurrence in the Bedrock beta. Mountain and peak biomes have also been made slightly larger on average than they previously were.
While peaks are notably taller under these conditions compared to what was observed in a previous Snapshot.
Although swamps do not appear in the snapshot, they are now integrated more naturally with rivers and trees. Swamps will look less sparse overall due to this change.
This is another ‘experimental’ snapshot, which means that these changes might look very different by the time it hits its 1.18 release date on the full game. You can check out further details on Minecraft’s official website.
