Dhaka: Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka in the second game, leads with 2-0, and also pulled off the three matches series. The host has come a long way, as it is Bangladesh’s first-ever series victory in an ODI bilateral series against Sri Lanka.

Following the toss, Bangladesh took a fine start but did not continue as fine after finishing the first power play of the inning. The archival strikes early wickets due to which the pendulum swung the other way. Both Chameera and Sandakan laid down Bangla tigers in deep water.

Bangladesh’s wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim fought hard till the last overs of the game. He has given man of the match for his remarkable ton in such a strenuous time. Mushfiqur Rahim along with Muhmudullah led the team to an impressive 103 runs win against the opponent.

Unfortunately, even destructive bowling figures by Chameera and Sandakan did not take their team towards victory. This was the second defeat for Sri Lanka in a stretch at Sher Bangla National cricket stadium.

The third and last ODI of the series is going to held at the same stadium on Friday, 28 May.
