EPL outfit Chelsea have been told by football legend, Lee Dixon they have something very valuable in a player that Arsenal cannot boast of.

According to him, a player like Mason Mount who is regular for the Blues team and a regular in the England national team cannot be found in Mikel Arteta’s team.

Lee Dixon made this claim after watching the North London outfit suffer an embarrassing 3-0 defeat against Aston Villa in the last Premier League game before the international break.

Looking at the Arsenal team and how they have struggled for consistency so far this season, suffering four defeats in the title, he concluded that the West London club have a weapon that has been working for Frank Lampard which Mikel Arteta does not have.

Dixon said Mason Mount has the ability to link the midfield and the front three which makes it easy for attackers to score goals and it proves the midfielders are threatening but that is not seen in the current Arsenal side which is the reason why the attackers are not scoring goals.

Dixon told the Handbrake Off podcast. ‘No goals from anywhere else, although Lacazette has three in six he seems to have gone off the boil.

“No goals from midfield at all. No breaking midfield player that forces teams back like a Mason Mount or somebody running through the middle like that and breaking into the box.

He lamented the huge reliance on Gabon International striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for goals in the Gunners team and it makes it more difficult for him.

Lee Dixon therefore, called for creativity in the Arsenal team, noting that the North London club were linked to Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar but failed to bring him in as he would have been of great help to the team.

However, the North London outfit are making efforts to bring in another creative midfielder in the coming transfer window but it is not clear if Houssem Aouar will still be available or not.
