Man United defender Harry Maguire has stated that the club and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are being criticized because several football lovers do not want the club to do well.

Man United and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have come under serious criticism for the past weeks over the negative results they have produced in their past games.

The Red Devils failed to win against Arsenal at Old Trafford, losing 1-0 in the Premier League, and suffered another defeat in the Champions League against Turkish outfit Istanbul Basaksehir which was unacceptable by many fans.

Although the club returned to winning ways with their 3-1 win against Everton but there seems to be no satisfaction from fans and critics over the state of the team.

Reacting to the criticisms, Harry Maguire stated that Man United is the biggest club in the world and people do not mean well for them because they are jealous of the successes in the past.

He stated that Man United has been the most talked-about club in the world since he joined for about one and a half year.

“Why? Because we are the biggest club in the world, People don’t want us to do well. Why? Probably because of the success we’ve had in the past.

“We have to live up to that, we have to react to it and don t let the negatives get into our bubble inside the training ground. Sometimes it is difficult for the lads” he said

However, Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be able to take some fresh air with the win against Everton but he is still under pressure to continue with the wins.

The Red Devils have been criticized for protecting his players unnecessarily instead of making them stand up for their failures to give in a good performance in the games this season.
