One person who is not taking the defeats at Man United likely is former player Paul Scholes as he has been critical of the team for the past few weeks.

After suffering a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League clash, the Red Devils were humiliated with another defeat 2-1 against Turkish outfit Istanbul Basakksehir on Wednesday evening.

The defeat against the Turkish outfit brings an end to the winning run by the Red Devils after defeating French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain and RB Leipzig in their earlier games.

French striker Anthony Martial gave Man United the lifeline in the game with his goal but the Red Devils legend feels he did nothing when his side were in possession of the ball and that was the reason why they failed to score more.

Paul Scholes told BT SPORT that he did not feel any element of commitment from the players to add to the fact that they lacked the quality to have lost the game.

The Red Devils said Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s players were doing many things wrongly like giving the ball out easily and trying to beat a man when the ball should be passed to keep them moving.

“The movement from the centre-forwards was virtually non-existence. Anthony Martial the amount of times I looked up when a midfielder had the ball he was just stood in between the two centre halves doing nothing

“It was a real lack of quality for me. I’m trying to find a reason for it but at the end of the day I think they were in good positions, but the final bit, the quality was really, really lacking.” He added

Man United will return to another tough fixture in the Premier League as they clash with Everton at the weekend and another defeat will definitely put the team in disarray.
