The season is obviously not going as planned for Man United as they are under pressure to save the season following the 1-0 defeat suffered against Arsenal at the weekend.

The goal for the Gunners by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from the spot was all Arsenal needed to compound the troubles of the Red Devils as they have not won their last four home games in the Premier League.

Man United are now battling below the table as they are 15th on the log after earning just seven points in six games and that has left the job of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the air.

Peter Schmeichel holds the opinion that the only way the Red Devils can save their season is to bring in new players in the January transfer window so that they can produce a fresh team in the second half of the season.

We will not forget that the Red Devils engaged in the last summer transfer window, bringing in Dutch star Donny van de Beek from Ajax, Edison Cavani, and Alex Telles but they have not been able to help the team with results.

The former Man United goalkeeper stressed that there is a need to engage in the winter window for the right players to help the team from failing this season.

“They are inconsistent. Make no mistake, this is still a team in transition and a developing team. They still need to bring new players in. It’s still a team that needs to find its identity and to find the main characters of the team. That was evident alginates Arsenal” he said

Meanwhile, Man United’s struggling in the Premier League has not been experienced in the Champions League as they won their first two games which gives them a better standing than in the domestic league.
