Former Chelsea defender Tim Cahill has stated that Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech should be held responsible for costing the Blues points since the beginning of the season.

The West London outfit have been inconsistent since the start of the Premier League seasons after dropping some points with the former defender insisting that the two new signings should be held responsible.

The Blues team invested about £108 million in acquiring the signature of the two players but they are yet to deliver the expected performances for Frank Lampard’s team.

Tim Cahill insists that the duo have been overindulgent with the ball at their feet as they spent more time with their tricks to dribble past 10 players instead of working with the team to ensure victory.

He stressed that the individual mistakes and errors for not focusing for 95 minutes. The former defender stressed that they need to know when to dribble and when not to if the team must get the desired result.

However, Kai Havertz has been able to score once and handed two assists from the five Premier League matches handed to him in the past. He was also in action against Man United on Saturday evening and failed to deliver a win for the Blues.
