Man United legend Rio Ferdinand has dropped a bombshell on the situation of things at the Old Trafford, citing the just concluded transfer window as an example of how things have changed at the club.

The Red Devils legend is surprised that it has been a downward slide for his former club because they are unable to secure most of their top target in the summer transfer window.

England International singer Jadon Sancho was the top target for the Red Devils but they were unable to get him as their £90 million offer was turned down by German Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.

Although Donny van de Beek and Edison Cavani were able to join alongside others it has been claimed that none of the signings is the choice of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Rio Ferdinand argues that the fans are being affected by the frustration and could react someday.

The downward development of the club is also being reflected in the results as Man United can no longer boast of being the winner that they used to be during the reigns of legendary boss Alex Ferguson.

However, the Red Devils are working hard to change the narrative with results in games by signing players to equip their squad.
