Facundo Pellistri is one of the players Man United brought in on the summer transfer deadline day after several efforts to do some deals earlier on.

The Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskajer was keen on a winger and made efforts to snap up some names but he did not succeed as the club was reluctant in spending money.

England international winger Jadon Sancho was Man United’s top target but German Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund insisted on a £108 million fee before he can be allowed to leave and the Red Devils could not afford such a fee.

Wales international Gareth Bale was another target for Man United but he opted to join North London outfit Tottenham in the summer transfer window while Barcelona and Frenchman Ousmane Dembele refused to leave Camp Dou.

The Red Devils eventually settled for the signature of Facundo Pellistri and he has revealed that he had to turn down the offer he received from French Ligue 1 outfit Lyon before he was able to make his dream move to the Old Trafford.

The 18-year-old is one of those expected to make a mart at the Theatre of Dreams, alongside Donny van de Beek among the players that were signed in the summer transfer window.
