AS Roma submit new bid, set to land two United players

Man United have been going back and front with Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma over the signature of Chris Smalling and it is understood that the bid to make a deal happen has not ended.

AS Roma had a feel of Chris Smalling last season as he was with the club on a season loan and they are keen on having him at the club on a permanent basis but they have failed to agree on a fee with the Red Devils.

Reports confirm that is also keen to leave Man United for Rome after falling in love with the city but from all indications, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not willing to release him as he would be in need of options in the defence.

After having their first bid of £12 million rejected by Man United, AS Roma are set to submit an improved bid that will be close to the £20 million asking price by the Red Devils and they are very confident of landing the deal before the deadline day.

However, AS Roma are also eyeing a swoop for Diogo Dalot and are reported to be considering an option of a loan deal. They will ask United for his availability.
