Manchester United legend Darren Fletcher believes that the club needs at least three quality signings to challenge for honours this season.
The former Red Devils midfielder said this in his latest interview as monitored by Daily Mirror.
According to him, Manchester United need 3 to 5 signings to be able to challenge for silverware this season.
He rated the club low as far as the transfer activity in the current window is concerned. The former Scotland international player wants his former team to be more proactive in the transfer market.

Manchester United have signed just one player in the transfer window and that’s the Dutch national team player Donny Van De Beek.
The 23-year-old joined the Old Trafford outfit last month from Dutch Eredivisie giants Ajax Amsterdam in a £38m deal.
The Red Devils have not won a trophy since their Europa League triumph in the summer of 2017.
Manchester United were trophyless in the 2017/18 season under Jose Mourinho, during the 2018/19 season under both Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Jose Mourinho was sacked and replaced by the aforementioned Solskjaer during that season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer managed Manchester United last season and that was his first full campaign but he ended it without any trophy.
