Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has given the go ahead for the club to make another bid for highly rated Lyon skipper Houssem Aouar.
Aouar, 22, is the top midfield target for Arteta and Arsenal as they attempt to beef up their squad before the transfer window ends in October.
The latest Arsenal bid was confirmed by French TV show Telefoot Chaine as it was revealed that the Gunners have made an offer of around €40m for the player.
It was also revealed that Gunners boss Arteta is keen to see the transfer through to a positive outcome.

Houssem Aouar has made his decision to sign for Arsenal after the lack of approach from other interested clubs like Manchester City, Barcelona and Juventus.
Various media outlets claimed that the player has already agreed his weekly wages with the Gunners and that the Premier League giants are in talks with Lyon over his transfer.
Houssem Aouar came through the ranks at Lyon and he’s one of their best players.
The Frenchman showed his quality in the Champions League last season and he was a big driving force behind the performances recorded by Lyon.
In eight Champions League outings, Aouar scored one goal in addition to four assists.
