Contrary to what was reported by the Egyptian press that Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny will be leaving the Emirates Stadium this summer transfer window, it has been claimed that he will be staying.

A recent publication had claimed that Mohamed Elneny’s agent flew to Turkey with the hope of holding talks with two clubs as offers have been received from them.

The 28-year-old was with Besiktas last season on a loan deal and has since returned to Arsenal with some starting roles this season with great performance.

He is being linked with a move to Galatasaray and Trabzonspor this summer but Mohamed Elneny could be bracing up for the challenge at Arsenal after enjoying two starts.

Sports journalist Chris Wheatley reports that he has been told by those very close to Mohamed Elneny that he is staying at Arsenal for this season.

However, the Egyptian international will be ready to fight for playing time as it is clear that the North London outfit will be signing a midfielder this summer transfer window to add to the competition for playing time.

Arsenal are reportedly making efforts to sign either Thomas Partey or Houssem Aouar this summer window as negotiations are still ongoing.
