EPL: Solskjaer Decision On Manchester United Transfer Revealed

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to wait till next summer to get his wish of a new centre back according to the Daily Mail.

It was revealed that Solskjaer has made the decision to postpone a new centre back signing until 2021.

The Manchester United boss had targeted at least three new signings this summer but the club has been able to sign just one player, Donny Van De Beek. The Dutch midfielder has joined from Ajax Amsterdam in a £38m deal.

Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is the main target for Solskjaer and Manchester United but they are yet to make a breakthrough despite several weeks of negotiations.

Solskjaer targeted new signings at left-back and centre back this summer. The search for a new left-back is still on but the centre back search will resume next summer.

RB Leipzig centre back Dayot Upamecano is the top target for the Red Devils but the financial demands of the transfer worth over £60m in transfer fee alone is not feasible for the club this summer.

Dayot Upamecano was one of the best defenders in the Champions League last season.

For the left-back position, Manchester United missed out to Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid.
