Arsenal fans will be left in shock to learn that Matteo Guendouzi turned down three opportunities for him to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer transfer window after receiving bids.

The French international was frozen out of the team by manager Mikel Arteta last season and was made to train alone. He has not also played any competitive game for the club since his ordeal which signalled his end at the club.

Reports had claimed that he is on the list of players who have been pencilled down to leave the club while Arsenal have made attempts to swap him for other players but failed.

Now it is reported by ESPN that Matteo Guendouzi is not interested in leaving the North London outfit anytime soon and will rather fight his way back into the team.

It is understood that three clubs including Valencia, Atlanta BC, and Villarreal all came for the signature of Matteo Guendouzi but refused to give his consent.

What is unclear is if manager Mikel Arteta will be ready to work with the young midfielder again or not as it would largely determine his future at the Emirates Stadium.

Howbeit, one of the aims for selling some players aside their redundancy is to be able to cash in to sanction other deals.
