Man United Face New Threat In Defender Hunt

Former European champions Manchester United are facing a new threat in chase of one of their targets this summer as per the latest transfer rumours in the British media.

According to the Daily Mail, the transfer target in question is Real Madrid player Sergio Reguilon.

It was revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are keen on a £25m deal for the 23-year-old left-back thereby joining Sevilla and Manchester United in the race to sign the player who was very impressive in the colours of Europa League champions Sevilla last season.

Sergio Reguilon played a key part as Sevilla won the Europa League title in the last campaign by coming from behind to beat Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan.

Sergio Reguilon is not in the immediate plans of Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane and the player is expected to leave the Estadio Santiago Bernebeu this summer.

Manchester United fans have not been happy with their transfer activities this summer which has seen just one arrival for the first team.

The Red Devils signed Donny Van De Beek from Ajax Amsterdam in the Dutch Eredivisie. The English giants signed for his new club in a £40m deal as he moved from club to club in professional level for the first time.
