Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar has been the subject of strong transfer interest from North London giants Arsenal and recent reports from France stated that the Gunners have had a big offer turned down for their transfer target.
According to French media outlet RMC Sport, the Gunners made an offer of player plus cash and it was immediately rejected by the Champions League semifinalists.
It was disclosed that Lyon turned down a bid of €35m plus an unnamed player believed be young French player Matteo Guendouzi.

Guendouzi has been frozen out of the Gunners squad since his altercation with Brighton and Hove Albion striker Neal Maupay and he could leave the club this summer.
So far, the Gunners have tried to ship him out of the club this summer as they have offered him to both Lyon and Atletico Madrid in a bid to sign Houssem Aouar and Thomas Partey respectively.
Spanish La Liga club Valencia are the only team to show concrete interest in the French u-20 international but they are proposing a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the loan.
Arsenal prefer an outright sale of the player rather than a loan deal.
