New Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has made Lyon attacker Memphis Depay his top attacking target in the transfer window as he starts his rebuilding job at the Nou Camp.

This is according to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano who disclosed that Barcelona want to sign Memphis Depay and Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum in a deal that could cost between €50m and €55m.

Koeman is a legend at the club after an illustrious playing career, and he has been saddled with the responsibility  of rejuvenating the team after a disastrous outing last season.

He’s interested in former Manchester United attacker Memphis Depay whom he worked with as the Dutch national team manager. The 26-year-old was the central attacker in the Dutch team under Ronald Koeman as they reached the final of the UEFA Nations League last year before they were beaten 1-0 by hosts and eventual champions Portugal.

Memphis Depay left Manchester United for Lyon in January 2017 after a below average 18-month spell at Old Trafford. The Dutchman initially left the Red Devils on loan before it was made permanent.

The player has been able to rediscover his form at Lyon whom he helped to the Champions League semi-finals last season.
