Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reportedly named Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey as one of his major focus for the summer transfer window but he must brace up for some disappointments.
The Spanish boss is willing to strengthen his midfield with the Ghana international midfielder as he seeks more depth but there might be some issues in agreeing on personal terms.
It is claimed that the Gunners are willing to meet the £45 million release clause slammed by Atletico Madrid but the player is requesting a weekly wage of £200,000 to complete the move.

The Athletic reports that the player is insisting on the said amount as he seeks a good pay to give his nod to the North Londoners.
Arsenal will have to part ways with a number of stars to be able to lessen the burden of wages as they are currently battling to get rid of the £350,000 weekly wage paid to Mesut Ozil.
The North London outfit are also making efforts to agree on a new deal with Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang that will have him earn £250,000 per week.
However, getting a new huge wage on the shoulders of the North London club will be very difficult and that could lead to the end of Thomas Partey’s chase in this summer window.
