Chris Smalling spent last season at the Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma on a loan deal but returned to the Old Trafford to hand hope of more options to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for next season.

The Man United player was very impressive with AS Roma and it was expected that they will strike a deal to keep him at the club on a permanent basis is but an agreement was not reached.

After seeing Chris Smalling impress in the Serie A, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants him to come as part of the plans for next season as he hailed his performance.

However, the latest report claims that ole Gunnar Solskjaer might not have Chris Smalling at the club next season as he is already interesting Inter Milan.

The report claims that Inter Milan paid attention to the 30-year-old when he was with AS Roma and are willing to give him the chance with a lucrative offer at the club.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Chris Smalling loved his stay in Italy and will jump at any opportunity with Inter Milan ready to meet the Red Devils’ valuation.

Age factor remains a reason why Man United will not insist on Chris Smalling’s stay at the Old Trafford.
