From all indications, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta would have his attention more on the Spanish La Liga for the recruitment of new players in the summer transfer window.
Mikel Arteta has just led the North London outfit to their 14th FA Cup title in his first season as the club manager and that handed an automatic ticket to the Europa League for next season.
There is no doubt that the former Man City assistant manager will be looking to add more depth to his team and the defence will be a major focus, especially as he has asked Sokratis Papa to leave the club.

The Telegraph is reporting that Mikel Arteta will head to the Spanish La Liga to lure Sevilla’s Diego Carlos for a move to the Emirates Stadium in the coming season.
The 27-year-old has been on the wish list of the Spanish manager for a long time. It could now be the time to make an attempt for his signature.
Mikel Arteta had earlier urged them to support the team with some meaningful funds for the summer transfer window so that he can get quality players for the rebuilding of the team.
The job of convincing players has now been made easy with the Europa League qualification.
