EPL: Arsenal preparing for Partey alternative

0

North London outfit Arsenal have Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey as a major target for the summer transfer window but getting his service seems to be more difficult than expected.

This is because the payer has been valued higher than the Gunners did and his fee is a high one. An effort by the Gunners to do a swap deal with Matteo Guendouzi is being rejected as the Spanish outfit are not interested. They have demanded his £44 million release clause.

Therefore, the Gunners are already considering an alternative for the player as manager Mikel Arteta is keen to have a new and effective midfielder in his team for the next season’s challenge.

With Arsenal not sure a deal for the Atletico Madrid player will pull through, FC Porto player Danilo Pereira is already being considered and a bid could be submitted for his signature any moment from now.

Danilo Pereira has impressed in the Portuguese league and his experience is not in doubt. He is believed to have the qualities that will solve the midfield issues in the Mikel Arteta’s team for the coming season.

Arsenal could only be faced with the challenge of no European football as that could discourage the player from making a switch.
