Emerging reports claim that English Premier League champions Liverpool will soon cash in from the sale of Dejan Lovren as Russia outfit Zenit St Petersburg are reportedly on their way with a £9 million bid for the defender.

Dejan Lovren has been severally linked away from the Anfield with reports claiming he might be having his last season with Liverpool as his contract with the club expires next summer amidst interests from a number of clubs.

The Russian outfit are keen to add the experience of the 31-year-old to the team and are set to table a bid of £9 million for his service. The club is set to part ways with former Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic and will need a replacement with that level of experience.

However, the possibility of a deal is still unlikely as it is unsure if the Reds team will receive £9 million for Dejan Lovren. They are reported to have valued the player for £15 million, the reason why £13 million offer was rejected from Italian Serie A outfit Roma last summer window.

Although, Liverpool could be forced to come down on the fee for Dejan Lovren so as not to lose him for free or trigger a one-year extension of his stay at the club.
