English Premier League outfit Chelsea are set to lose out on the chase Ajax star Nicolo Tagliafico who is one of the targets in the summer transfer window.

The Blues team are in need of quality defenders that will help challenge for titles in the coming season and have identified Nicolo Tagliafico to help strengthen the defence.

However, it is feared that the West London outfit might lose our in the race as Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid and Man City are also interested in the player. They are reported to be preparing a bid already.

It is claimed that Nicolo Tagliafico will be available for a fee of £24.5 million and all of the suitors are willing and ready to pay but they will have to negotiate personal terms with the player.

However, Chelsea still have Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell as their first choice of call but yet to confirm his availability in this summer window which makes Nicolo Tagliafico a must.
